    Dumbwaiter Logic Circuit

There is a fair amount of logic involved, so if not wishing to use an Arduino, there is the possibility of using a SmartRelay, there are a few manuf. or even its bigger brother, a small PLC. The outputs of which can drive the contactors needed etc. I assume you will also need indicator status...

Operating 266V Motors on 230V..... Explain Please

I have contacted manuf and service reps over the years and on the whole have had very useful responses or leads. Your OP does not appear to be out of the realm of the extraordinary, often talking to someone in a technical position can reveal the odd nugget. For the cost of it, it is worth typing...

Operating 266V Motors on 230V..... Explain Please

What does the hook up information say as to the two voltage methods, presumably you have the documented difference? M.

Operating 266V Motors on 230V..... Explain Please

All you would need to do is run for a period of time and monitor any temp rise. As to the brake, normally this is a brake ON with no power, IOW it requires brake power to run, if these are of this type, then 120v 1 phase should be easily available, does't mention AC or DC though? Probably the...

Operating 266V Motors on 230V..... Explain Please

Where is the US do you have 230v 3ph, You may get away with running them at the lower voltage but with lower performance. BTW, 266v results from one phase to neutral on a 3ph 460v star secondary, but that will not help with a 3ph transformer. M.

    Motor Speed Control

Agree, 1ph cap start induction motors tend to drop out of run at low rpm and/or on load. Especially a Triac controller would not cut it. You could go with a DC T.M. motor and controller, although being much larger, torque wise, it would be physically smaller than your 2pole 1/3rd HP motor...

    High-end drones

I picked up a Parrot drone couple of years ago to amuse the grand kids. Can be flown from Tablet or phone. Automatically clears obstacles with height setting, clearing a roof say. They have demo videos on the site. Her are some spec.s: During each flight, an HD video is recorded and sent...

    Forgive my ignorance...

It appears you are getting close to the current limit of the device, I would tend to allow at least a couple of amps more for a device. M.

Why does a dc motor "stutter"

It shouldn't, what is the exact nature of the motor? Sounds more like a stepper motor, if anything? The CNC system would need to be pretty small if it is a stepper of that size, which they often are from prointers etc. M.
