    I still don't see how that is going to work. Is it one constructed yourself just to steer the H.S. lines or is it a off-the-shelf RS232/USB convertor? As the latter versions have different configurations in them to take care of the H.S. lines. M.

    If not loading it up to the full Va via the other secondaries, you could go a little higher on the 250 sec. the limiting factor is the wire gauge but you would see this with a volt drop if exceeded too much. M.

    What else is there to know? The ratings are on it? The 60ma rating will be for 250v, the L.V. secondaries will be at the highest value in each case. The VA at each tap setting can be extrapolated. Including the total VA for the transformer. M.

    This must be a larger type ventilation/radial fan, maybe. If it does have a start cap and the cap is OK then most likely the centrifugal start switch has failed. Especially if a spin by hand starts it. M.

    Looks like one in each lead, they are wire wound chokes with what like a ferrite core. The tool should run without it (bypassed) , but you could probably repair that one or make up another using the same core, use heat shrink on it afterwards. M.

    There are quite a few circuits out there if you Google, some claim good results ignition coil based. Fairly simple. Maybe reverse engineer the defective one and repair it, there is not much to them. M.
