Help with sensing a stopped sprocket

I still have it mocked up, I will try an idea tomorrow. M.

Help with sensing a stopped sprocket

Great. Try reducing the resistor/cap 75k 5mfd first. I found Oshpark good but a little pricey, I have had good luck with Itead and DirtyPCB . If it is a one-off you can use strip board (Vero). M.

High side MOSFET not working @ IR2104 driver

Boost = VB. The VB boost circuit requires a path to common or gnd to charge the boost capacitor. http://www.infineon.com/dgdl/an-978.pdf?fileId=5546d462533600a40153559f7cf21200 M.

With these IC's the boost requires to see a load to common to work. M.

High side MOSFET not working @ IR2104 driver

Most of the features of these series are common, just that 2110 the VCC and VDD are separate but can be coupled if needed to 10-20v. I usually feed both with 15vdc and use a high speed opto on the input from a μp or Picmicro. I would use 12vdc minimum for VCC. Just my preference, I have used the...

    Steel work bench

I ended up with a sheet of particle board topped plain Formica, it also comes with the Formica already on for making shelving etc. Also I fitted a outlet strip across the front of the bench to avoid cords across the top, you can get multi-outlet strips for this. One place I worked, the...

    Wiper Motor Wiring

The 12/24 almost implies it is dual ratio, on 12vdc it will run approximately half the rpm.. It is a strange looking GB, most likely worm and pinion, which are typically fairly high ratio. With a motor stated at 2800rpm and the GB 8RPM implies a 350:1 GB?? Also intermittent duty on 24v, you...

    Modulating Hydraulics

If you want variable control, you would need some kind of feedback to monitor the degree of pressure required. M.

    Computer/electronic integration

See post #3. One way I have done it to demonstrate is to use a free RS232 program such as RS232HEXCOM and any μp that can communicate in serial such as RS232 module in Pic or one of your choice. You can demonstrate communication both ways. I have tested modbus communication this way. Once the...

Ever seen an outlet like this one? Need right adapter

It would not be required for a double (linked) breaker if the outlet is converted to 120v as typical for a modern washing machine. Using an individual breaker for each outlet, that is if the cable includes a neutral, if not , it can be done by using say the red for live and the black for...

    Computer/electronic integration

One standard industrial instance of this is know as Modbus, it is a master slave system for communicating and controlling multiple I/O stations. M.

Ever seen an outlet like this one? Need right adapter

Conceivably the outlet in post #5 is for a dryer, the modern ones require both 240 and 120 to operate (neutral). If you only have a washing machine that only requires 120 then if you are electrically capable, and the first socket you show has a neutral in the box, you could simply fit a double...

Help with sensing a stopped sprocket

I thought I already post it? The final circuit worked like a charm for me in the circuit I whipped up (post #30). The 555 will not time out as long as the sprocket is running (prox pulse input). No pulses for 1sec, the output switches. M.

    Computer/electronic integration

Also depends on what the 'external circuit board' consists of, for example the Picmicro can communicate RS232 or USB for transfer of serial data. These μp have built in modules for each protocol. M.

Help with sensing a stopped sprocket

Forgot to add, don't forget the reverse (BEMF) diode across the coil, just in case. any of the 1n4000 series, I usually keep 1n4007 on hand for this. M.

Ever seen an outlet like this one? Need right adapter

That is a standard 240v socket (old one), you could try any electrical supplier or H.D. may have. Or just replace it with a later version. M.

Help with sensing a stopped sprocket

OK so the relay would be wired from out, pin 3 to GND and would be energized all the time and drop out on low rpm. wire the O.R. P.B. accordingly, either N.C. or N.O. The circuit works very consistently for me, you can adjust the value of the 10mfd cap to increase or decrease the time delay. M.
