    Drilling a hole in a PCB Be careful when drilling through PCB's! Check to see if the board is a multi-layer board before drilling. If the board has 'vias', it proabably is. A via is a small plated through hole in the board that connects the different lands internal to the board. Ed.

    Pin 4 is probably the return for the +5 volts. If pin 4 goes back to the negative lead of the filter capacitor that connects across the +5 volts, then it is the proper return, floating or chassis ground! Ed.

    Capacitor 19C64 is your problem. It's a .047 @ 600 vdc. It's on the Z axis board. I just replaced mine. Scope works fine now. You might want to check 19C43 (.047 @ 250 vdc), 19C51 & 19C52 & 19C63 (.1 @ 200 vdc, all 3), 19C68 (.01 @ 630 vdc). This will be easy since you have the board removed...
