    Measuring Liquid conductivity

No! 0v to +5v to 0v to +5v, regardless of duty cycle, is pulsating DC. The current is always going in the same direction, it does not "alternate" directions. However, if you pass it through a capacitor, the DC component will be removed, and then it will be AC. ;) And, the duty cycle in the...

    Measuring Liquid conductivity

That circuit won't reduce corrosion. Well, maybe by half. It's pulsating DC, not AC. Ken

    project topics for B.E level

Is this a final year project, or just a course project? What areas of electronics do you find the most interesting...things you would like to do, even if it weren't an assignment? Ken

    project topics for B.E level

Yeah, I assumed that. But in what area? Electrical, Industrial, Civil, Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical....? Project suggestions probably should relate to their area of expertise. Ken

    Motor or solenoid

Actually, I don't know if you would need a flow sensor at all. Again, an assumption: a person walks up to the kitchen sink, selects (???) the water temperature they want, then opens/adjusts a single flow control valve by turning a knob or moving a lever. The total flow is set by this valve. The...

    Motor or solenoid

Is this a design for commercial use, or a class or personal project? I think "dosing" may be the wrong approach. Dosing would imply a fixed amount of water from each water supply to achieve a final water temperature. But, it sounds like you are trying to maintain a constant water temperature...

    Motor or solenoid

What volume are the doses? How accurate must the dose be. How frequently does the dose occur? Is the dose fed against a back pressure at the outlet, or to atmosphere? Is the only measure of dose, volume through drop in pressure over a time period? What size piping are you using? ????? It...

    Reading Circuit

Yes the junction of C3 and C4 go to pin 16 on the IC. There are also two connections to pin 14 from R13 and from C5 Ken

    Reading Circuit

The numbers refer to the counter bits of the 4017... the numbers in red inside the IC symbol. "0" (pin 3) connects to R1, D1, and D5. "1" (pin 2) connects to R2, D2, and D6. And so on...! It's like a parallel 4 wire buss. I think it was just to make the schematic simple to draw. Ken

    Modifying Electronic Timer Switch

sbglobal2010, Was there supposed to be a link? Ryan was looking for a push-on/timed-off timer function. I don't see any Aube timers with that option. Ken

Circuit board from E-11 Hasbro toy blaster.

Simple, it's not. The black blob on the foil side of the board hides a microcontroller that senses the button pushes, generates the different sounds and drives the transistor that drives the speaker. Is the rubber assembly on the foil side the trigger switch? Is there more than two positions...

    Modifying Electronic Timer Switch

Here's the installation manual:http://www.horstmann.co.uk/downloads/ElectronicDocuments/Electric-Water-Heating/Electrisaver-UserandInstallationGuide.pdf It's probably using a pre-programmed microcontroller. I seriously doubt that there is any way to change the time. Ken
