    turned the computer off and on again and it is working again now but dead slow it's ok back to normal! did you get the file for the LM3914 that I sent, I sent it as .txt file you need to change the extension back to .asy!!

    I am still having the black box problem and for your problem with the LM3914 I don't know not sure can I give it to you?? extension .asy when I hit run the box isn't popping up

    the black box won't appear but it's running in the bottom left corner without errors

    cool thats good I've run into a small problem my ltspice program is not showing the black box when I press run do you know how to fix?

    so ok where do I connect the lm3914? its ok I've figured it, it peaks at 9v though so the lm3914 window is 2.4v what does this mean??

    why is it enveloping the smaller signal??

    so I have noticed that the envelope detector still envelops the smaller signal which I think is wrong red is output from the filter, green is after the pre-amp and before the amp and the dark blue is the envelope, surely it should be enveloping the red!! the colour in the middle of the blue is...

    Top Man!! perfect!! so can I use the pre-amp as the main amp or would it be best the way you originally suggested with pre-amp and then amp and then filter??
