problem with 48vdc motor destroys relay

What have you been using for diode, part number ? Diode fail short or open or ....? You using a snubber as well ? https://www.cde.com/resources/technical-papers/design.pdf https://assets.nexperia.com/documents/application-note/AN11160.pdf Regards, Dana.

need guidance making a voltage regulator

Sorry for not speaking your language, but todays technology, phone translators and AI based interpreters, Google translate, getting pretty good. Regards, Dana. PS : My native, English, major challenge for me.

What are you asking ? If you are using ESP32 you will not need Arduino board.... Regards, Dana.

need guidance making a voltage regulator

No on reversing. Go to page 31 and it talks about min/max usage and why a min or max is used in the calculations. Regards, Dana.

    Voltage limiter 9V and above

@crutschow, I played with sim, values, etc., seems totally stable. Note a load step is invoked at 2 mS of ~ .5A I can see now how 150K essentially stops loop closure effectively. Regards, Dana.

    Voltage limiter 9V and above

I was looking at original OP posted schematic, now I see yours has a control loop 180 thru MOSFET, MOSFET C loading Vout pin of 431, then back thru load and its C (if any) and MOSFET Rds and then R4. Maybe a transient sim as well as a bench test ? Regards, Dana.

    Voltage limiter 9V and above

This seems to imply there is in fact feedback in that circuit : Some simple bench testing should show phase margin problems from transient response, if there is a problem. Regards, Dana.

    LC oscillator and resonance frequency

@takotak I am a EE, and a wannabe but not capable or competent physicist. Looking for critical comment on my understanding. I used to think of current flow as an e- moving from A thru a loop of conductivity back to A. Now I think its an e- in a statistical state, moving from an outer valence...
