    I am not so sure this is a con. I always find it harder to clean a fan that pushes dirty air then a few hundred holes in the side of a metal case.

    This makes like no sense to me. If you have a fan blowing air into an enclosure then you will need to remove that same amount of air in the same amount of time as the fan can supply it or the pressure will increase inside the case and limit the amount of air flow.     You can put a 3 prong plug on a 2 wire cord and it won't change a thing. You will need to connect the ground to the circuit ground. Pretty easy if it's in a metal enclosure.

    Hmm, a transformer rated in AmpHour? What the hell are you talking about? Also, I would think without much thought, that you would need a bigger battery, probably 10x that size of 10AH to run a 1000W inverter at full power for any length of time.

    Did you write that correctly? .25mA == .00025A???? If you did, maybe you could charge a cap and use a uC to control the firing. Really depends on how fast you can charge a cap in a second to provide the 20mA needed.

    Oh thanks for pointing that out duke, I knew a gain of 1000 sounded high for a regular transistor. Should have put that together myself and looked it up.
