    Imac g3 tray loading

It doesn't hurt the tube a bit. Be careful.

    amplify ultrasound signal

I had a big lab that went with me a lot in my truck. He could bark so loud that it would make your ears ring, in the truck. I wondered what his own ears were doing! ha He was a good dog though. Whenever he barked you knew to look outside, because someone was around. I would like to have one of...

    LED tail lights.

I agree. Isn't shinning a laser on someone an assault?

Is this mosfet good for my project?

    Thanks Steve, for that lesson!

    amplify ultrasound signal

So this begs the question, what are you doing?

    Imac g3 tray loading

Yes, high voltage is dangerous. I discharge the cathode ray tube with a high voltage probe that is connected to ground. If you don't have a probe, you can take a screwdriver with a plastic handle and clip a jumper wire to the steel and to ground on the chassis. There will be a high voltage wire...

    FLUKE 2165A DIGITAL THERMOMETER

Does the probe use a thermister? Can you remove the connection and check the resistance of the probe when it is hot and then when it is cold? If the probe is good, can you check and see if there is a voltage out of the connector?

555 timer buzzer circuit not working...

You need to hook a 0.1 cap. to ground on pin 5, on the 555. Pin 5 is the control. It will lower the frequency the closer it is to ground. You could put a pot there, or a transistor, if you want to vary the freq.

Generators/Solar Cells in series or Parallel?

You can't hook two AC generators in parallel unless they are in phase, or you will have two burnt out generators!

    Circuit Simulator program request [HELP]

Thanks Steve, for that link. How do you save a schematic that you have made?

    Metal detector circuit help.

I have heard of people making a huge coil, and then they tow it behind a ATV, and they use it to find meteors. I guess they are worth a lot of money.

    Animatronic Tail

That is quite an impressive tail you've made! How did you make the plastic pieces? I wonder if a motor with an eccentric would work better than a servo? It could have a LOT more power.

Buck converter for small wind turbine project

You probably know that you don't need that to charge your batteries, right? My wind charger will produce over 90 volts, maybe more, but when it is hooked to the batteries, the batteries pull the voltage down. Be careful and keep one hand in your pocket when working on it. Do you know that you...

    Metal detector circuit help.

That circuit is supposed to make noise all the time. When you move the coil close to metal you should hear a change in frequency. A larger diameter coil should be more sensitive.

I just had a vision of the future of TV.

There is a ride at the amusement park, that is like that, that is a rocket ship. It is amazing! If you get a chance to see it, don't miss it, you won't be sorry.

    555 metronome with leds

The amp is necessary with an 8 ohm speaker. 5/8=0.625A It is not necessary with a 32 ohm speaker. 5/32=0.156A Look up the data for your 555 to see how many amps it puts out. You could hook a 500 ohm to pin 3 and to a led to ground. You could hook a 500 ohm to VCC and to a led and to pin 3...
