    If the jack has solder tabs, consider getting the mating crimped connector: instead of soldering it. That way you have positive connection without risk of damage and the wiring can be further disassembled from the panel if necessary.

    Ok, so this is basically the processor from an old XT or similar. Isn't the first call to the bios chip for POST? You could always point the boot code to the next section if you have a lot of code with a label. Have you tried 'goto start' then label your next section 'start'

    I am not aware of any either. Those molded strain relief are made with the wire as an assembly so they are fused to the wire. I haven't seen any aftermarket. Maybe someone else will come by with their experience. I do the same as you, use black shrink tubing.
