    Make sure you put it in the same folder. I have two folders called DCIM the path to my android sd card is: Localstorage>SDcard>DCIM>Camera If the file format is .jpg the gallery app should see them.

    No but, you may want to use a transistor to help switch on a bigger relay type with a standard coil voltage. The inrush current required by the coil may exceed the Adrianos output current of 40ma. Or, just use a small relay to switch on a secondary relay that has the higher ratings you need.

    Ok thanks. Perhaps the "pink" resistors I've seen were just faded or discolored beige or toupe? Again, anybody know what kind of cap it is? I assume it's non-polar.

    What type capacitor is this, and is there an easy way to differentiate it from a resistor? If it wasn't for the schematic and the "c" marking on the board I'd think it was a resistor.

    @dork Again, I get how it works. My mind thinks of it as "positive needs to make its way to pin 14 in order for it to trigger clock and increment its outputs. So, your saying the correct way to say it is; "1 level" instead of "power"?

    @dorke Yes, I get how it works. The terms; "low"for 0, and "high" for 1 are not correct? I used "power", meaning positive source on left side of s1 thru s4. So........What'd be the proper term? I didn't want to use Vcc because that'd be rail voltage right?

    Ahhh! Basically, the clock pin gets its power from the outputs that are high from previous button pushes. Perfect explanations. I was thinking outputs would all be low initially. When reset, it defaults to the first output (pin 0). Is that correct? Thanks for the explanation guys. John

    I saw this video on YouTube about a password switch. I thought it clever, but I assume easily hackable by simply pushing any button s1 thru s4, 4 times without hitting a reset button (pin 15). How does pin 14 (clock) see Vcc by being fed from the outputs that are presumably low?

    A shift register IC can toggle the sequence of your lights 1 thrugh 5, or say, 12, 23, 34, 45. but if you wanted it for a staircase it'd get too complicated for me. I'm guessing you'd have to have a data structure that'd know if you were going up or down and have memory for each floor?

    Motor wiring diagram makes no sense

    Are you sure that driver is suitable for your 6 wire stepper? I would expect 4 phases and 2 common wires. It also shows two separate motors: X and Y, not one unipolar motor.

    I agree with bluejets that it's better to avoid the current sensor if possible. If that's the direction you want to go, I'd probably opt for a off the shelf current sensor like this one from Hawkeye. It has adjustable current levels and relay contacts to drive an external contactor or relay.
