Fault with LM5109 - High Side pulse issue

Hello, Remove the 4.7 Ohms resistor from the bootstrap line. It will likely slow down the charging of the bootstrap capacitor. Bertus

    Led and battery advice please

Hello, You can look through most leds. You will see an arm and a cup, as in the picture @Martaine2005 showed. Here is an other picture that will show you the inner works if a basic led: Keep in mind that the different colors of leds do have different voltage drops: Bertus

Just When I Thought it was Going to Be Easy

Hello, For isolation, you could also use some heat shrink tubing. Those are available in many sizes: https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=heat+shrink+tubing&i=automotive&rh=p_6%3AA3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&dc&qid=1627498452&rnid=12035754011&ref=sr_nr_p_6_7 Bertus

555 timer output set to 200hz is not what i was expecting to see?

Hello, You can do better than a BUZ90A. An IRL540 will out perform the BUZ90. The breakdown voltage of the IRL is much lower, but do you really need 600 Volts? Bertus

555 timer output set to 200hz is not what i was expecting to see?

Hello, Those are the bipolair type. What supply voltage do you use? The bipolair starts working at 5 Volts and will work upto 15 Volts. Bertus

555 timer output set to 200hz is not what i was expecting to see?

Hello, An other question. Wich version of the 555 are you using? A bipolair version (NE555 / SE555) or a cmos version (LMC555 / ICM555). The specifications are quite different. Have a look at the attached datasheets. Bertus

555 timer output set to 200hz is not what i was expecting to see?

Hello, Your resistors are to low in value. Try the following values: I used this page for the calculations: https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/tools/555-timer-astable-circuit/ Bertus

555 timer output set to 200hz is not what i was expecting to see?

Hello, If you post a schematic, keep the size at max 300 kB. Did you made the circuit by yourself or from an other source? Bertus

    MOV protection

Hello, From the page: For sustained steady-state overvoltages, a typical test requirement for a traditional MOV withstands 150% of its rated voltage for a given duration. But MOVs may fail to a short-circuit condition when subjected to sustained steady-state overvoltages above this level...
