What are these sections of this power supply?

yes, welcome to audio. be it tube, or solid state, power is arguably the most critical portion. it is better to have a 300W power supply driving a 100W amp than it is to try to run 100/100. it only works in theory as the amps demand turns the power rails into a washboard road. you always want...

What are these sections of this power supply?

This isnt that hard ... the top portion of the supply is a fairly common tube amp arrangement. Front end goes through a power resister to help reduce noise, meanwhile caps are paralleled to save cost the low side is simply the 6V high current line to fire your heaters. which are the pointy...

    Music playback

sounds like a job for an embedded sound clip from an MCU, running into an LM386 audio amp to drive a speaker. The downside of this is that you'll need a programming tool and your program material will not be easily changed as you'll have to compile each time you want something new.

Speakers with wires. Need help to connect to tv

    Crate BT1000 problem, blowing fuse

I blew up a lot of amps with a B.C. Rich Warlock. repaired em and retired after the third failure. Then, I built the replacements from the ground up.

ISO amp that drives the old JBL's 100's-I

yes ... by 74 the vac tube was pretty close to being extinct outside Marshall Stacks and Fender twin reverbs. Short answer ... barroom system ... 100W per is probably more than enough, Don't expect to DJ with it though.

    Pioneer SX 850 Receiver

well ... good news is you wont have to train a cockroach to solder in order to deal with any problems in that old beast. bad news ... You're going to need a crash course in discrete component amps just won't fit in a forum. Dont get all knee jerk under the hood of that baby. the power on her...

    DIY bluetooth speaker

lets see ... a marine receiver dictates that your 5V USB charging solution is pretty much out. Easiest battery solution for you is an SLA which you can charge with any common car battery charger and fairly easily piggyback an external power source if needed. If it were my show, I'd opt for...

    Realistic STA-2270 receiver (Radio Shack)

surfed around and just happened to see the livin inards of one on a Canadian swap shop site. fear not ... by the looks of the backside of the part, this may actually be a home gamers job. I can remember when this was probably the model you settled for in this era of 100 watts or nothing. but...

I've decided to learn electronic repair :)

what must be understood as soon as you can grasp the concept, is that "Electronics" covers a lot of territory. Linear audio? Embedded digital? radio transmission? .. perhaps power systems? There's a lot of ballgames going on here and you might want to sit back, crack open a good beer and think...

    Fruity loops track

Okay .... that was just a little painful to my audio engineer ear. Step back and give an honest listen to produced track Kj6EAD responded with. No ... really .. listen and compare. Panzermensch gets their sound from a relatively clean sample and effective use of a compressor to give the beat...

    Need a little inspiration

that's kind of a decent start ... been looking at compairitors and either a PIC μC or Raspberry Pi for power management.

it's a sort of forced long term situation. As I tell the club members, this would be hilarious if it weren't happening to us. First ... our flying field is along the Missouri River. The season started off great, then the Nippleheads in the army corps of engineers decided to eff up the water...

I have a 70MM EDF X-29 that I use for this ... Its good for the larger packs .. gets a little sketchy when the draw exceeds C rating as smaller packs are being processed

Normal, I'd run them in similar fashion ... this season has been anything but normal, thus pressing me into seeking alternatives to making the old B6 charger hot for hours

No auto off on the battery. given that we draw welder level current out of them at times, any auto cut has to be after the regulator in the logic of the speed controller where the servo style PPM is locked to 0. outside of the airplane, its wide open and unregulated

    What type connector is this.

looks like the balance plug on LiPo batteries used in RC .... we call em JST connectors

    Need a little inspiration

Here's my situation. I fly RC airplanes. These run LiPoly batteries which tend not to like to be stored fully charged as the internal resistance rises over time (bad deal when you need to whip the minions to get upstairs) The weather has sucked and when it has not been trying to waterboard us...
