    Reverb installation

Right, got a few days spare so it is time to try out reverb again. Mounting problems have been solved. Pix are a rather lousy shot of amp itself, the workings of the reverb, one of the power units purchased to drive the amp and the circuit of the main amp. Now, what I want to do is add the...

    Reverb installation

Been out of circulation for a while but am now back and looking to complete a project start a while back. Want to sweat a reverb tank into an amplifier. I have mounted the tank and tried it out by just plugging it into the guitar input but no significant response, although banging the unit with...

    Wot is this?

Thanks for that reply. My local supplier has only one size of varister in stock and I have purchased a couple of them and now waiting for the problem to arise again so I can experiment with a cure. The fault itself does not occur all the time and I am at a loss to find why not! Radio reception...

    Wot is this?

thanks for reply, I have purchased a couple of MOV from the supplier but at the moment all is working well without interference. Am waiting for things to change before experimenting. Difficult to explain but the interference is not always there and I cannot explain why not. I am on mains power...

    Wot is this?

I live in a bus converted to a motorhome. I did the re-building fourteen years ago and am still doing modifications. Recently I swopped all the 12v internal lights for LED ones to save power. It worked excellently except that some of them interfered with the radio reception. I did lots of...

    Tank reverb

Having difficulty convincing the makers of my amp to give me a pix of the circuit so have sent them pix of the extensive modifications I have already done to their product... Adding two batteries to support the Mac 180 powerbook, another battery to run the midi interface, a system of recharging...

    Tank reverb

Two units are on order and should arrive next week. The amplifier makers are not keen on giving me a copy of the circuit diagram, but reading your mail again it rather suggests that I can plug the output straight into the input jack. If this is so that makes it a lot easier. regards Deigh

    Tank reverb

I've had some advice about installing a reverb into my amplifier, but everyone seems to have lost interest in my problem and I'm beginning to sulk..... Need help please. question is now, how do I sweat a tank reverb into an existing circuit? Schematic diagrams of circuits are useful but I cant...

    Tank reverb

Thanks for that, Yes the tank is close to the speaker but that seems to work in other amplifiers I've owned so I don't see that as the major problem. If I have to sweat the tank into the circuit I need help to tell me exactly where to do it. I cant work it out from a drawing of the circuit...

    music.

Yeah, well I'm a bit long in the tooth and it takes me quite a while sometimes to turn an idea into a practical application. Actually I come out with a new idea about once a month. Most never even get further than just a thought. Many others I do complete but fail to market them because of...

Hey, just back in the forum asking silly questions about reverb and realised I hadn't finished this thread. Ended up with a foot operated pedal which tightened a bike brake cable Which moved a physical finger onto the spacebar of the Macintosh. Here are some pix. sorry for lousy pix but not easy...

    Tank reverb

Damn, I was hoping just to put a variable potentiometer across the tank and use that to control the throughput! Life is never simple is it? Deigh

    Tank reverb

First of all there was nothing, no signal at all. I removed the tank from the amplifier and sat it horizontal on the bench. This time I did get some noise and buzzing but no guitar signal. Hoping now for someone to come up with a way of sweating it into the circuit within my limited ability. Thanks

    Tank reverb

I have a 30 watt battery powered amplifier which is quite excellent. Only trouble is that when playing solo the output is a little too pure and I need a reverb. I have a plug in one which isn't the best so I decided to upgrade the circuit. I purchased a tank reverb P_RMOD which is an ideal...
