    Ah no just read the thread again. If the saw was down connecting it to -12 Volts would have pushed it further into the bed causing the drill to stall and the PSU to limit at 0.8 A, possibly. Adam

    Depends on which way he had his drill to start with :) Or he may of had the direction switch the other way.

    This LED has a max 3.5 Vf. It's a white LED. Also are your transistor suppose to be configured as Darlington arrangement? Adam

    Are you sure you connected the +12 V and not the -12 V? The +12V on newer PSU can be good for 16A. The -12 V is only good for about 0.8 A. Just thought I would ask. Adam

    Those three resistors look like they could do with a re-solder. One looks like its moved quite a bit. Or not centered during reflow, an indication of not enough solder or too low heat. Adam

    Condenser capacitors range from 0.25 to 0.29 micro farads or (uF) Having the same result for both using a DMM should tell you something.... These are high voltage capacitors and you can't test them properly with your bog standard meters. Adam

    I doubt it, the input impedance is going to be around 10K. Something odd is happening for the first message to play and the others only for a short amount of time. Adam
