    Mid voltage reference

But this is what the Vref pin is for. This connects to the A/D ref pin to allow for ratiometric operation. Adam

    Mid voltage reference

Why don't you just balance the bridge by replacing one of the load cells with a variable resistor? The amplifier can run from 3.6 Volts why are you using 5 Volts? Adam

What is the diode going to?

I am thinking also R1 will prevent the Vpp line from the programmer drawing excess current. MCLR lines don't have the ESD protection diodes that other ports have because if using the Vpp line for ICP the programmer would be shorted out by this diode, which would only allow a Vpp voltage of VDD...

Can you please post a circuit diagram. Adam

    D-Type Flip-Flop (74HC74)

Yes I agree with that. I wonder what the reason is for doing it the way he has, he says cleaner? Adam

    power resistor vs resistor

    Depends on the light bulb.

    power resistor vs resistor

Why not use a light bulb, It has the added advantage of helping you see what you are doing :) Adam

Wanted: In need of a voltage regulator/semiconductor!

Hi Paul Um yes your right, I could only find some on a IC supplier from China. They might have been a special for VW. I can't even find a datasheet to try and find an alternative. Do you have a datasheet? Cheers Adam

Need Help Finding the Output Frequencies for Two 4-Bit Binary Counters

Tricky one this is so I had a go and simulated it and counted the pulses. Your output x appears to change state every 24 clock pulses and the other output goes low after 8 and high after 16. This adds up to 24, which make sense. Don't know if this helps. Adam

Need Help Finding the Output Frequencies for Two 4-Bit Binary Counters

Can you tell me if CLK0 is the same as CLKA on the datasheet? And I am guessing Q0-Q3 is QA-QD. It's just the datasheet is different to your drawing. Adam

Need Help Finding the Output Frequencies for Two 4-Bit Binary Counters

Hello do you have a circuit diagram of how you have it all connected. Adam

Replace internal AC tranny for DC adapter?

No Probs :) See you around! Adam

Replace internal AC tranny for DC adapter?

Hi Martin You shouldn't have any waveforms, it's DC which is a straight line. Apart from any noise obviously. Adam

Replace internal AC tranny for DC adapter?

Hi Martaine. Welcome to EP. The DC adaptor will work but wont be rectified again because it's already DC. If you connect the DC adaptors output after the rectifier where the capacitor is then it should be fine. You could also connect it to the input of the bridge where the transformer was but...

How to increase frequency from 50Hz to 100kHz?

Yep, sounds good. Then the A.C is converted to D.C by the diode on the output. Adam

Are deep red 660nm LEDS completely safe?

I have given you all the information needed to work this out yourself. Hop supplied you with some information relating to eye safety above. Forget hidden dangers work with the facts. All you need to concern yourself with is the wavelength and irradiance that the LED will produce. These are the...

i would like to see alternate part numbers for #2N3906, transistor for a cannon word processor

There could be many transistors that will work for you, some are as follows BC212, BC257, BC 307, BC557. Why don't you wait until you know the other one and then compare data sheets? Adam

    Battery charge/discharge circuit

Hi Eoin I have looked at the circuit again and yes it looks like it discharges the battery first before charging. The reason for this is because it does not have any other termination method other than a timer. If you placed a fully charged battery on this circuit you could end up damaging the...

Are deep red 660nm LEDS completely safe?

Depends how bright they are. Can you tell me the LEDs and how much current you are planning on using for each one. Adam
