Help identify a resistor without bands

Difference of opinion..... Harald's offer was a good one - I'd 'take it'.

I need help determinig correct voltage.

Show a picture of it. The voltage is 'fixed' according to the type of device but its current requirement is quite specific and can't be guessed at (safely). What do you want to power? The LED or the lasers? Sure they're lasers?

Help identify a resistor without bands

Wire wound, 5W would be my guess. Any offers?

    Sealing Lead Acid Car Battery.

Yes, seal it BUT, as I recall, the individual caps may have pressure relief holes in them so please ensure you have the same arrangement. (can;t be too sure - you would have to compare your battery to an original to see if you spot a small hole). Plastic cement (glue) should hold a suitably...

    Power Supplies and PLC IO

The diodes are unnecessary. Can we assume that the 'out15' connections are wired the same as the 'out00' terminals i.e. driven from open drain connections? If so then the relays can be powered by 12/24V as you show in your drawing.

    Constant device failure

Yes, some form of Data Acquisition (recording) device is required on the power lines AND a 24/7 spectrum analysis - you have to cover all frequencies. Another common cause is 'distortion' of the mains AC waveform (harmonics) as can happen when people use large motors or even welding sets. This...

Need a solution for a sensitive sound sensor

Is there enough line-of-sight distance to get a doppler signal? From a height even? Here in the UK there are rules to follow re vehicle entry/exit to roads that include safe distance (visibility) and changes to the local speed limit if visibility is limited or reduced. Is there anywhere to...

Can you edit/create components? You might be able to modify the file through such a facility.

Try to find a ABB dealer in Norway - I'm sure Norway isn't so 'backward' as to make these switches unobtainium!

    Sealing Lead Acid Car Battery.

Sounds like they tried to 'rejuvenate' the battery using a technique reported across the interweb - removing the 'plugs' and topping the cells with de-ionised water perhaps??? Not entirely sure of the veracity of this process but the contents of the battery are very corrosive and the battery no...

Bell Carrol Plasma Cutter - Cut 40

Have you checked that there is no leakage to ground anywhere? Some of the circuitry around the voltage multiplier (the 'string' of diodes and capacitors) seems pretty gunked up and the ends of the big resistors look a bit suspect. Assuming everything is clean and there is no leakage/flashover...

    Tamperproof sink

What country are you located in? Your distrust of Chinese for critical parts may well be justified but define 'critical' in your own application? The LM2596 module is ex-China isn't it? How critical do you consider that part to be? The stuff I order from China also takes a month (give or...

Connecting car battery to a portable speaker.

Fuse normally goes in the positive line - slow blow would do.

Sharp LCD TV Slow Refresh Rate

You might affect a permanent fix by fitting some form of 'pressure pad' along the edge where the connections are made by trapping some foam rubber (or whatever) between the screen and casing but those connections are generally not fixable.

Connecting car battery to a portable speaker.

You tell me!!! Whilst 'red' is a standard colour to represent a positive connection/wire this is not a 100% sure thing. If you have a red and black wire then the red is most LIKELY to be positive.

    Tamperproof sink

Yes, we do tend to take many easy-access parts for granted and tend to forget how difficult this may be for others. Still, the option I suggested CAN be run on a low voltage and is as simple as can be made. Though if you can source the LM2596 boost converter board I'm sure you'll be able to...

Connecting car battery to a portable speaker.

The equipment will only draw what it needs - not what is capable of being delivered. Just make sure to put a fuse on the 12v feed line. A 5A fuse will be suitable. Also make sure the cable is rated accordingly (not too thin).
