    sim800a gsm module not working

What settings are you using for parity and stop bits?

Looking for a highly sensitive hall sensor

The Earth's magnetic field varies from 0.25 to 0.65 gauss. You're also going to need some real good shielding.....

Thermoelectric Roof Generator: Need some help with my project.

Sounds like you're looking for a peltier device. The following link shows datasheet results for a good number of devices. You might want to chose one (at random) to see the kinds of parameters they have and try to identify those specifications that meet with your criteria. Thereafter you can...

    premier massage chair repair???

The 'clicking' sounds ominous - could be from a gear (or thread) that has moved past its end-stop or, worse still, a stripped thread or gear cog. Photos and a closer inspection will, of course, reveal details. I also have a bucket list - first item - get a bucket.

    Drill's battery not working.

Is the battery charged? By that I mean - are you sure the charger is working? The 1.2V/cell is 'good' news but they don't seem to be holding a charge which could well point to the charger providing 'voltage but not current'..... and charger faults are quite common.

    Obsolete Part Datasheet DZ71100

Is the data requirement as a function of part replacement or so you can use the stock you have for some other purpose? If it is from existing equipment then the schematic of it in-situ may reveal some information. If it is from a 'found' (or purchased) bandolier of assorted components then it...

    Need Help

16F87* (6 or 7 I'd guess) I see the usual AC input (power supply circuitry) and a switching relay. If it is sonar related (and the TL852 seems to indicate this) it could be a simpe distance ranging alarm (parking?).

Looking for a highly sensitive hall sensor

I don't know of a specific device to fill your needs but I use the following site to make searches for devices based on whatever parametric I require: http://category.alldatasheet.com/index.jsp?sSearchword=HALL%20EFFECT%20SENSOR You will, of course, have to sift through the results.

    Hall effect ignition

The obvious method would be to de-construct existing EI designs - and, over the years, there have been dozens published in various electronics magazines. Nice as it may be to build your own from scratch you are still re-inventing the wheel and there's (probably) nothing new to be discovered...

    Magazines

It seems like retaining the Summer Circuits series is a common trait - those were the only issues I kept (other than issues 1-20) but eventually even those went to the bins. In my travels I came across the 300-series of books which were sort-of collectives of the Summer Circuits but in greater...

Sensor choice for pond water depth

Seconded - I use a similar system to keep my hens water supply topped up - might do this for the pond too (6000 litres) - but neither have a potentiometer fitted at the moment. Sounds like I should be doing this to supplement my proposed remote water supply monitoring project (we have a weir...

    Design assistance needed

I don't mean to offend and perhaps took your post as an opportunity to 'vent' in regards to the number of posts we see (a rapidly INCREASING number of posts) that bluster in with what are, as I outline, essentially demands for assistance. It doesn't take much to word a request for assistance...

    Alonco dr-135t flashing display problem

Alinco DR-135T is, for those who can offer advice, a 10m (28MHz) all-mode transceiver - note to OP, such information is critical to the forum as not everyone is aware of what 'xyz-123' is without having to Google it..... pictures or links to websites really help...

    Design assistance needed

Oh the irony.... I'm not sure if you recognised the 'sarcasm' of your own original post - written as if, as my 'sarcastic' reply inferred, you had every intention of getting everything 'done' for you..... Sadly we get a lot of posts along these lines - the ones we have a lot of time for are...

    Are common grounds safe?

Common grounds are perfectly acceptable in most cases - even with high voltage differences. The only occasions where you need to take extra care is in circuits that have specifically seperated analog and digital grounds. Audio circuits may need care to prevent earth loops (hum) and high...

    Hoover handy 2 4.8 V vacuum cleaner

Welcome to the forum. The 'frying' comes from an overheating resistor - the big one - which 'may' have now gone open-circuit. If you have a test meter you can check the resistor for continuity. I would also be concerned for the battery - the charging method is a bit 'brutal' and rechargeable...

    Best solder to use

I got a Hakko soldering station copy and the suppliers were supposed to send a selection of different bits for it but when it arrived they were all identical bits (wedges). After an email complaint and a two week wait they sent me the proper selection only the tips they sent were GENUINE...

    Erasing PIC16C54C

Wow, the same as my first ever computer! Anyone recall the ETI 'Triton' single-board PC project? A kit of parts to build it cost me £300 in 1978(?) and it came with a 2k BASIC in ROM and, yes, a whole 256 BYTES or RAM! Expandable of course

    Erasing PIC16C54C

'E' meaning electrically (in EPROM) and 'EE' meaning electrically erasable - in the first instance you can erase individual memory locations. In the second you usually have to erase the whole device. 'EE' PROMs are 'old' technology nowadays introduced, I believe, as a simpler way to erase ROM...
