    Dishwasher not heating water

Are you laying on your back with the plinth off the machine? The thermostat will be a small metalic can with two wires.Like I posted earlier, but the wires may be red or blue or tartan. It is underneath. The heating element normally has 240v on the live side to chassis. Martin

    What is it?

Well getting two different readings, I would guess the diode is ok. But in this case it might be better to lift a leg and check it out of circuit. Martin

    Dishwasher not heating water

That sounds about right. Although most I have fixed, the thermostat is near the bottom or underneath. Sorry, I didn't check your model. I will have a look and see where it is located. Give me ten mins. Martin

[Q] Car stereo at home wiring.

I would think the uni-directional would be the one. If you're having trouble, buy a bridge rectifier and use that. Martin

You don't always... Just check it one way and reverse the leads. Martin

    What is it?

All these smd signal diodes "look" like they have failed. You need a multimeter to check it. Look at this pic, it looks broken inside too!

    What is it?

Hi Julio, It still looks like a diode as others have said.! Why are you asking the question? Do you know it has failed? If so, how did you check it if you don't know what it is? Martin

    Dishwasher not heating water

Hi Andy, The element sounds ok although on the high side. 30 ohms would be a maximum I would have thought. Have you checked the thermostat? Martin

Drawing power from inside PS4 to power peripherals

Hi Shepanator, I think trial and error for the 12v rail..The ps4 might detect immediate current draw and shut down thinking a short is present..possibly? I would try the 12v from the HDD. At least a current draw would be expected by the system. But I really don't know. I can't imagine it would...
