    The other reason (b) should not be used IMO is because of the quality of some photo copiers the first thing that used to fade after repeated copies of copies were the dots. This sometimes lead you to thinking it wasn't connected. Adam

    Fair point, I wouldn't do this if I was making lots, but if it's a one off and you use the connections in the same order i.e make the power and GND the same and ensure the PCB runs on 5 Volts it should be ok. Adam
