Fine temperature control (Triac + temperature sensor)

I might not have this quite right but it looks like the proportional control is the actual temperature + the gain of this stage. This would be compared to your required temperature and create an error voltage which causes the heater to switch on. The integral averages out the temperature rise...

Wireless remote bell push to ring wired bell system

Nope can't find anything either. Is it an option to replace the bell with a new wireless one? Adam

Bending Radius of Lead when designing component footprint

From what I remember from the IPC standard, it should not shorter than 2 x the lead diameter. But I can check this out if you want, we have them at work. Adam

    ATX PSU Power Toggle Circuit

The other reason (b) should not be used IMO is because of the quality of some photo copiers the first thing that used to fade after repeated copies of copies were the dots. This sometimes lead you to thinking it wasn't connected. Adam

Controlling Separate Source with Low Power Signal

I think Collin means an emitter follower version, but the problem with this is might be the voltage drop. Adam

Controlling Separate Source with Low Power Signal

You want a high power unity gain buffer then. Adam

    ATX PSU Power Toggle Circuit

Hi Mark The Flip-Flop looks ok to me. The green LED might be a problem though because it won't have enough voltage across it when the transistor switches. You can connect this with it's resistor across the output you are switching. Or connect it across the output of the flip flop and then feed...

Connecting signal GND to power GND

Not quite sure how it damaged your micro but you need the common point for the circuit to work. Is this a driver module you are using like the DRV8302? Or are you doing your own? You need to make sure the PWM coming out of the driver has the correct timings for the MOSFETS. If this is an off the...

LM2907 output saturates with i/p signal of 90% duty cycle

I am a bit confused as to how a pickup from a tacho can give a duty cycle of 80%. How is the pickup constructed? Adam

LM2907 output saturates with i/p signal of 90% duty cycle

I don't know what I2 and I3 are but page 8 of the data sheet explains how it works. http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/lm2907-n.pdf Thanks Adam

LM2907 output saturates with i/p signal of 90% duty cycle

I don't think you can run them with that high a duty cycle. They have a charge pump inside which is what converts the pulses into a non varying D.C voltage. This is done internally and It looks like it charges and discharges the capacitor on alternate high low transitions. This could possibly be...

    Nand Gate oscillator help

Isn't the schematic in post #22? But looks like a switch has been connected instead of R2. What diode is used for D1? and what size capacitor for C1? Adam

Looking for a connector to use on my project

Fair point, I wouldn't do this if I was making lots, but if it's a one off and you use the connections in the same order i.e make the power and GND the same and ensure the PCB runs on 5 Volts it should be ok. Adam
