    Where to start

Purists will use assembly and there is no more intimate way to program any form of processor than via assembly. It makes for the most compact coding (hence speedy processing) than any other high level language and, being an old fart myself, I was brought up on assembly through the 6502/8088...

    Leaked Battery Motherboard Repair

(one of) the most critical characteristics of any connector is its 'pin pitch' - the distance between each pin. There are none amongst the eBay list that either match for polarity (many are female whilst the one you need is male) and the closest one to the Maplin version has the wrong pin...

    Where to start

ooooo.....are you trying to start a fight? LOL There are 'fans' of all forms of micro controllers and each has its pro's and con's. It will boil down to what you want to do with them - and, to some extent, how you feel about the support that each type attracts. The Arduino support base is...

    Power-One power supply mod

The insights to the 'adjustments' of the original design are worthwhile and well received <thumbs up> (I'd seen those before) but bottom line is that the retailer is lying about its capabilities and 0-25V and 0-2A is more realistic. Meh.... But with the aforementioned mods it ends up as a...

Issue in driving sensored BLDC motor

Schematic is a basic necessity - we can offer zero advice without one.

    Current meter

Some devices have memory retention and require permanent connection to the battery. Indeed even modern factory-fitted radios will do so and require re-coding if the battery is disconnected. Our car rescue services (AA, RAC etc) now carry plug-in power packs - they fit the cigarette...

    Current meter

Whatever is draining your battery is doing it 'all the time' - connect your current meter (or a clamp ammeter if you can get hold of one) and do a straightforward test. Report back on the drain current reading (if any) as it is sometimes possible to tell (approximately) what it is that's...

    Power-One power supply mod

Yes, I'd heard about the 'wrong orientation' overlays but that seems to have been earlier editions of the board - certainly the ones I have are properly marked. But what I take from the QSL article you reference are the final paragraphs: and.. If people pay $5 for a 'decent' PSU (kit) and...

    Leaked Battery Motherboard Repair

Yes - although you 'might' have to trim a little plastic off the side of one..... might. They will fit.

    Power-One power supply mod

Hmmm - 485 'good' reviews on Banggood and even youtube has loads of videos of the PSU being built, tested and working (Voltlog ~#8 and #64 amongst others). The two I have also seem to be working just fine...... what am I missing?

    VCLFO debugging

That's a complete misnomer - providing you have sufficient current to meet that DRAWN from the supply the circuit will work. If you try to draw more than the stated current you will probably overheat the regulator and it will shut down.

    Hall effect switching info needed

Yes, a hall effect switch can easily handle that level of switching speed. 15kHz is no problem on some devices I have. (900,000 pulses per minute)

Please Help Identifing Diodes In Old Boat Motor Rectifier

The KBPC2504 is rated at 25A and 400V - higher than your requirement but 'higher is better' and nothing is lost by using it - in fact having a (very) wide margin of safety is a good thing with electronics. Same will apply for the replacement axial diode(s) you seek. Providing you meet or...
