    High Current DC Switching

The problem is that the peak current may be well in excess of what you're expecting. Measure the DC resistance of the starter to determine the peak current. Then, if it will exceed the maximum current for a single mosfet, you will need to connect multiple in parallel. A problem you then have...

    High Current DC Switching

*Poof* Large amounts of smoke followed by the MOSFET failing short circuit. Possibly a subsequent failure involving melting the leads allowing the circuit to open.

    High Current DC Switching

The simulation shows it turning on, not off. There is no path to ground to discharge the gate. Also, you're using the transistor as an emitter follower, which is not ideal. You can use another transistor to invert the input. It may be easier to use a proper gate driver.

    High Current DC Switching

    No, that will never turn off. This will work better. R1 1k, R2 1k D1 1N4001, Q1 & Q2 2N3904

    What is this device?

Well, the inductor may be part of the oscillator, but it's not an oscillator all by itself.

    Led On Indicator

Place a LED with a series resistor across the coil of the relay. When the relay coil is powered, the LED will light.

    Relay and timer

You could use a 555 timer driving a DPDT relay. The specs of the relay friend on the voltage and current required for the electromagnet. You will probably have to take steps to prevent arcing of the relay contacts.

    What is this device?

Maybe it has two windings. A transformer is a type of inductor.

Arduino ide for commercial product development

It depends on what you call "arduino". If you assume it is something that includes Arduino(tm) hardware then it is reasonably true. If you assume it refers to the software environment then it is not true. If you assume it means the ATMega chip then it is nonsensical. The problem is, nobody...

    Light therapy device

In image 3.1 in that guide, the transistor marked as BD679 is the one requiring a small heatsink. If this transistor is in a TO-220 package then the smallest heatsink you can find will probably be more than sufficient if the voltage overhead on not too high. The transistors used are not critical.

    Questions conservation electronic

Since you keep asking the same question, perhaps we should ask what answer you want. How about: Store them in paper bags with an old mushroom Soak them in olive oil and place them in a barrel of salt. Wrap them in cling-wrap and place them in a shoebox with a smelly sock.

value of learning vs value of meter

Did you look at what it is? Generally speaking, whilst they're not precision instruments, they'll measure a capacitor's value with enough accuracy for most purposes. They don't have ranges as such. Internally they either make an RC oscillator or use a constant current and do some dv/dt...

Brake light flasher (555 - based) circuit works on breadboard, but not PCB

If removing Q1 doesn't make the output flash, but changing C3 does, then I suspect some misconnection. On an unpopulated board use a multimeter to confirm continuity between points that you expect The dark solder mask did not make it easy for me to make out the tracks on the small screen of my...
