    certifications regarding low voltage.

The LVD(low voltage directive) in the UK is anything greater 50V. If the total system voltage is over 50V it will still need to be approved. Adam

    Over done I think?

Not mine lol Dave. Found it on the net. Adam

    Snubber Circuit

Put a back emf diode across the motor. Aslong as the motor only goes in the same direction. I think this will work.

SOT23 PNP is dissipating too much?

Let's hope its not. A BMW or Honda. But I doubt that very much

    RF audio receiver diversity circuit

Nope flip it over. For someone that just slapped the first design together, you are making a few fubars. Lol Adam

SOT23 PNP is dissipating too much?

Why don't you just read the data sheet for the device. They said once computers would not go higher than 680K. Got that a bit wrong did'nt they. Not with DOS anymore, do you remember DOS?

    Snubber Circuit

Could thisbe a loading issue from the motor? Adam

    RF audio receiver diversity circuit

T2 is not quite right. You need to use a PNP. Connect it like T1 but with the emitter to the power and use a base resistor.

    RF audio receiver diversity circuit

Ok connect the RSSI output to the front of the op-amp you want to turn off. Is this an option?

Look up RFID. This is how the current market ones work with the microchip in the animals neck.

    Over done I think?

Do you think they over did it with the regulators?

SOT23 PNP is dissipating too much?

You obviously don't understand the circuit, it is quite complex. The circuit is drawing 175mA, 165.8mA through the base junction and 9.2mA through the resistor. So it is dissipating 175mW as you mentioned. I thought I would fix this for you as you were obviously struggling. If your trying to...

SOT23 PNP is dissipating too much?

If your going to joke then at least be funny, and oh draw a circuit that works.

    noob transistor question

Yeah agreed. Thought I would keep it simple as you had. Cheers Adam

    RF audio receiver diversity circuit

Hi Ben You won't necessarily need the buffer, if you do then you remove the potential divider to the input of the buffer and the output of the buffer goes where the divider was. Use one buffer for both channels. The AGC will be your output and the two input channels will go into the first...

Power supply Current limiting , using what value resistor? Mercury Relays are dirty

I think what he means Harald is that some power supplies allow you to set the current limit before hand. The Thurlby Thandar ones I use do allow you to do this before you switch on, but some of the cheaper ones don't. Adam

    noob transistor question

I don't know if this might also work as a driver for the relay. I have added a soft start to allow the support cap to give some help to the relay. Then reduce the current to above it's holding current. just a thought Adam

SOT23 PNP is dissipating too much?

Mine dissipates 15mW, cant see the problem. :) Adam

    Need help building RF Detector

Ok I have had another idea. Play some loud music in the room you suspect the bug to be in. Get a radio with a head phone socket or use a phone which has radio. Scan up and down the FM stations bit buy bit and see if you can here the broadcast from your music. If it's an FM bug then it will...
