    Lead acid battery

Find attached a circuit diagram for a 6V lead acid charger. I have kept as simple as I can. Accordingly, the circuit supplied does not reduce the output voltage to a "maintenance voltage". This for the main part is not a problem for as far as I can tell, you don't intend to leave the battery...

Help select suitable Mosfet for driving relay.

If using a BJT transistor you should include a pull down resistor on the base emitter junction as digital devices generally do not guarantee their output pins to be less than 0.8V for a logic 0. This means that any BJT activated by you device could still be turned on, partially or fully, when a...

OK. It will take a few days, but I will see what I can rustle up.

Car Amp in Need of Repair

The obvious question is "What caused the capacitor to blow" and would it go again. You probably need to investigate further or monitor the unit for some time after replacing the failed parts.

Help select suitable Mosfet for driving relay.

MOSFETS are susceptible to parasitic oscillation. The is due to any pcb track or wire inductance that can cause a series resonant circuit in conjunction with the gate - source capacitance which can precipitate oscillation of the Fet. A resistor in series with the gate forms a low pass pole which...

Current regulator.....Can anyone point me in the right direction???

You could always build one (or several) they are not difficult requiring about 5 components each.

    Calculate Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)

who It is generally done using a Fourier Transform (often quoted as a FFT which is a Fast Fourier Transform) so that is what you need to look up. You will need to digitally sample the offending waveform and then apply the FFT to it which will then reveal all the harmonics associated with you...

BLDC speed & direction control circuit construction

Have you thought about a DC stepper motor? You can determine distance travelled by counting the pulses and is relatively straight forward to reverse.

    Proximity Sensor

Keep it simple. You could use a micro switch on the winch and ring on the line to operate it. You may find that you need a brake on the winch to limit the over run once the engine is turned off as the flywheel will keep it turning for a few seconds.

    Calculate Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)

What sort of frequency are you dealing with?

Could probably provide a circuit diagram for a 6V charger if you are interested.

Flip flop - Output high, power cycle to turn back on

I would use a 4013 instead. You also get two in the package plus an inversion of Q. Also, dispense with R4, use a higher value for R2 and a smaller value for C1.

Advice about MC34063 based buck converter diagram

You could try a parallel resonant filter in series with the output. It does work. You have to tune the filter to the fundamental of the ripple. It works by presenting a very high impedance to the ripple. The only downside is that it only works at one narrow band of frequencies and if there are...

Advice about MC34063 based buck converter diagram

Try a larger cap on the output. I have just designed a switcher in simulation, for use with gloplugs for my model aero engines to use with a 12V battery. It supplies up to 15A or so at between 0.9 to 1.5V. It runs at about 120KHz and has 2 2200uF caps on the output. I have bee investigating a...

Does the TDA2030 need negative potential?

If the Pk - Pk is only 6.5V then O/P power is only ((6.5 / 2) * 0.707) / R times the first part of the sum which equates to 1.32Watts into 8Ω at 12V supply.

Advice about MC34063 based buck converter diagram

Put a load on the output. It could be the error amplifier having a bit of a struggle with the fact you have no load on you supply. They tend to spend a lot of time turning on and off in that situation instead of exercising a more linear control. It might also be that any compensation is not...

Does the TDA2030 need negative potential?

How big is the transformer you are using i.e. what is its current capability, how many amps. Also, can you measure the static output voltage with respect to 0V. Just had a proper look at your schematic. Connect the 2030 power supply directly to the rectified and smoothed supply.
