    Max Vout of current monitor?

It's a current output, so output voltage isn't specified. Therefore Eout = (Iout * Rout). The value of Rout isn't specified either, as it will depend on the voltage you want to develop across the Rout. At least that's my take on the specs. Chris

    Problems with stepper motors

Hi Marco and welcome to EP. Schematics are always helpful if not essential. They're easy to post by clicking the paper clip. ;) Chris

    AM receiver not working

    (1) That circuit is not designed to drive a speaker directly. (2) The world of RF is a different animal. You can't have things hanging out like that. (3) The Rotor on the cap should be the terminal committed to the 100nF and 120K node.. (4) Anything I may have missed. :D Chris

Alternatives to LDR for audio signal.

Tina lets me build a sub-circuit, represent it with a symbol of my choice, as long as the pin-out agrees and save it as a macro file. My modulation frequency was 500Hz to 1KHz and it worked out very well. Thanks for the 2K heads up! Chris Edit: This double posted because Marilynne...

Alternatives to LDR for audio signal.

Yeah, Tina lets be build a complete sub-circuit, save it as a macro and represent it by my choice of component symbol, as long as the pin-out agrees with the symbol. 500Hz to 1KHz sim'd very well. Thanks for the 2K point. Chis

    AM receiver not working

It's a thing of beauty but as Dave said that capacitance seems rather high for what I see there. I would guess a total of 900 to 1000pf but hey, I'm guessing. Chris

    Voltage help?

Ever wonder why we say that? I mean most of us do, even with oceans separating us. ;) I don't think I've ever heard a person say "Then the alarm went on". :D Chris

Modification of anti-bark control circuit - help please!

Make sure your probes are sharp. It sucks when they slip, bridge another pin or trace and pop something. ;) I've never, ever done that! Chris

Alternatives to LDR for audio signal.

Too bad I wasn't familiar with this amp a week or two ago when I was answering an AM Demodulator topic. To simulate a good AM signal requires more than two generators wired in series or parallel. I ended up creating a macro that uses an LDR on the (-) input to Gnd pin of an OpAmp. The modulation...

need an idea for an new project or a modification of an old project

I've never considered coding technique, good or bad, to fall within the realm of theory. Chris

Modification of anti-bark control circuit - help please!

Oops I missed your post. A Crystal earphone connected to probes would find the uC pin that generates the audible tone. It's been my favorite pocket tester since the 50's. ;) Chris

    AM receiver not working

What noise? Is it mains (50 - 60Hz) hum, static, hiss, what? The very nature of that design is going to make it sensitive to many sources other than an RF signal. EDIT: Long wire connections are and instability definitely a no, no and can contribute to malto noise. ;) Chris

I've already commented on the first part. Regarding the second part .... nah. Chris

Modification of anti-bark control circuit - help please!

There may be hope. It's more than likely that if the audible tone is generated simultaneously with the ultrasonic tone they emanate from separate uC pins. If so you could cut the trace or remove a coupling component. Chris

    AM receiver not working

Civilian and Military aircraft occupy a VHF - UHF frequency spectrum. They're also AM. Also, most AM receivers can demodulate and FM signal by tuning it slightly off frequency. Google "Slope Detection". Chris

    AM receiver not working

Today that is true but back in the day I'd see this problem manifest in the inherent weakness of point to point wiring. In the 60's I tech'd on 16mm projectors, Bell & Howell, Kodak, Revere, etc that employed vacuum tube audio amps. The gain of a 12AX7 is rather awesome and a wire that's moved a...

    Automatic camera.

Is the underwear of all of your wives being molested or just one?: Seriously, The Home Depot sells a battery operated motion activated USB cam. It stores the data internally and can be viewed by jacking into a computer. It's quite small, about twice the size of a USB stick. Chris

What are the most important parts of your projects design?

I'm sorry but I come from a different place in time. Possibly even a different planet. I'm not qualified to give you advice for most of those questions. From what I read in that questionnaire you need input from a lawyer, accountant, political activist, environmentalist and possibly even a...
