    Electronic timer question

Please explain the purpose of this. I would think that game logic would dictate If one switch is closed prior to the other, no matter how short the period between the two are, the second switch closure should be ignored entirely. Perhaps I misinterpret your statement? I think you should post...

    Sweat monitor using electrodes.

Keep your new topic to discuss your heart monitor and use this thread to discuss this. Which I posted here. https://www.electronicspoint.com/sweat-monitor-using-electrodes-t252095p3.html#post1493021 Justin, I spend time drawing and spicing things for you to only have you ignore...

    Electronic timer question

I Knight you Sir Wingnut Newton. :D When I first read this I thought doable but mostly funny. However, if this is an audience related game it would be visually cool! I can think of more practical ways of measuring the time though. I just like the visuals, but then I like miniature golf with...

    Electronic timer question

Yes, like most things electronic, a uC makes this a trivial task. If you have not worked them yet I would suggest looking into Picaxe for a near painless and by far the cheapest entry into uC-s. Chris

How can I count analogue pulses over 10secs.

Justin, I've been working with you for quite some time now. I think the programming end of this will be less intimidating. Besides, I'd like to see how an ADC solution works out. ;) Chris

Ohm's Law or not Ohm's Law... That is the question

Perhaps, when Georg Ohm documented his findings that was the accepted definition. Today however, if you search the interned and text books for Ohms Law you will more than likely return an Ohms Law circle, which is greatly expanded over V = I R. If this is not considered Ohms Law, then the...

Ohm's Law or not Ohm's Law... That is the question

Hi Merlin. You've certainly injected some welcomed levity into this thread. This quote certainly accomplishes that! ;) Chris

    Sweat monitor using electrodes.

The impedance of what circuit? The heart rate monitor or the sweat monitor? Input Z or output Z? Who asked and where was it asked? Chris

How can I count analogue pulses over 10secs.

Let's put it this way. There's a number of opinions here and each have merit. What the ADC option has going for it is you already have it and, as stated, keeps component count down. If doesn't work well you have nothing to loose but a little time. The Axe code can always be re-written. Chris

How can I count analogue pulses over 10secs.

Yes Justin. Do as Harold says. The ADC isn't the best choice here. FYI to members joining this thread. This topic is a spin off of another topic by JPU. It would be nice if Steve would splice the part of that thread in to this one where it veered off "Sweat Monitor" to counting heart beat...

    Sweat monitor using electrodes.

Justin, you're like a runaway freight train. I remember a guy with that much p!ss and vinegar but all his get up and go, go, go has long since got up and went, went, went. :) There's websites that are devoted to 'Derivation Of Terms', colloquialisms and such. I suspect they have a picture of...

    mini dimmer with photoresistor

Doubtful that any of them would even consider supporting this device. Incandescent lamps are on their hit list. However, if you told them that you have a magic light pipe that funnels sunlight to a room (on demand) 24-7, they'd be thrilled! When you start your new thread please post the link...

I'm not sure. Is there a question? Are you making these for yourself or are you the landlord?

Ohm's Law or not Ohm's Law... That is the question

Just in case you missed it I not only agreed with you but apologized as well. That said the definition from your link, as it's applied here, is greatly flawed. In what way did I negate the truth? I posted an example of what I taught as Ohms Law For AC Circuits. I didn't invent the term. It...

If feeling like I have an African Elephant on my shoulders is normal than I guess I should feel good. On the upside the Oxicodone is kicking in. Watched your video and I see you've managed to generate a trace. It's as good as sex, isn't it! :D Chris

    Sweat monitor using electrodes.

Yes, as you can see there's a hell of a lot more to an EKG than a simple Sweat Monitor, including but not exclusive to filtering out all the unwanted crap. <-- Technical term. :D I suspect conditions to be worse with a Horse. Chris
