    Australian - Magnificence!!!

Yes CC, it's not just her beauty. There are many beautiful women in this world. When the camera focused on her face she seems to bubble over with life! My wife wanted to know how many times I watched the video.. It was only twice. Chris

    Australian - Magnificence!!!

This is not an electronics related post. I just saw her on Yahoo and couldn't help but to comment..... WOW! Many athletic women seem to lose a % of femininity but not this beauty! Look at all that feminine energy! It's like thermal runaway...

adding a second remote on a 12V winch

Yes CC, I agree. That circuit is workably simple if his client will be happy with it. Not that I would recommend using a smaller relay than 75A but in his design the relay contacts aren't doing any live switching which will reduce the demands on the contacts considerably. Late here and need...

adding a second remote on a 12V winch

Actually, I was thinking of something with intelligence, IE, no manual transfer switch. CC has a good point though. They have to be beefy relays. I'm a bit astounded that that handset drives that motor directly!

adding a second remote on a 12V winch

There is another option but it's not as simple as adding a key switch or a quick disconnect as has been suggested. It would require a separate control box with logic, relays or SSR's and power supply. The remotes would tie into the control box and the control box would connect to the motor. You...

    EMP Project!

What's next on your list of weekend projects? .. Perhaps a rail gun or maybe a small thermo-nuclear device?

    Problems substituting a relay

Seriously? I based that schematic and plots on your posted schematic, not additional loads. That power supply is being milked with that circuit alone. If you have additional current sucking circuitry, all bets are off !

    Chronograph for bullets

Steve, I found it. https://www.electronicspoint.com/use-make-counter-decoder-1mhz-events-t249053p2.html#post1474610 Yeah, scattering this all over the forum is really counterproductive. I was going to draw a schematic. Not sure about that any longer. Chris

    Chronograph for bullets

An RS FlipFlop has no clock input. A JK FlipFlop does. As I see it, you want to measure the elapsed time between contact openings which an RS or JK will do. One of my freq counters has an elapsed time function. There's a jack on the rear that when logic low starts the counter. When the same...

    dc motor voltage

Welcome corfi. I hope you didn't purchase it. 240DC to 180VDC is hardly "slightly different" as you say. What are you driving with this motor?

    Digital Pot setup

Yes Justin. Never run a device to its maximum limits. That OpAmp is rated for 30V Max. Chris

    Digital Pot setup

Yes 12V or 13V will work but I have a Question. This is to power the 7805 and then the Picaxe. How are you powering the OpAmp? You're not powering the OpAmp off the 30V rail are you? If that's the case, scrap the Zener idea and get a 7815 regulator. Power the input of the 7815 from the 30V rail...

    Chronograph for bullets

Assuming that you're measuring the time between the first event (S1) and the second event (S2), wouldn't an RS Flip-Flop be in order? Contact bounce would then be ignored.

Three Terminal Buzzer for Turn Signal Warning

When you get your Piezo Oscillator, I like to use a generic term for them ... SonAlerts, you will need to attenuate it or it will drive you nuts. Even after electrically attenuating it you may have to stuff up the resonator hole with cotton and wrap it all up in tape.

    Sensor help?

This topic interests me because I'm an avid and excellent golfer!... Mini Golf that is. :D If your desirous of sensing when a ball passes a point, rather than actually making contact with an object, then optical is the way to go. The chips are cheap. Forget using a Parallel port. They're...
