    resistor tampering

    so a couple years ago during my DC final a bonus question asked: If you scratch the material off of a resistor with a knife until you see bare wire, will the resistance go up or down? almost everyone answered down but the teach said the resistance would go up. can anyone explain this to me...

    FM transmitter

    im currently in a communication electronics course in school. unless you know what your doing it is an awful lot to digest. even just tuning the damn thing. tank, crystal, temperature, environment, tolerances, different ways to produce your oscillator. what kind of tolerances are you looking...

    solar tracker mod

    this is a little late but what about an H-bridge with a motor to force the shaft to rotate without depending on the sun? you could have one direction closing S1 & S4 and the other closing S2 & S3

    Light Photo-sensor Timer Help Please!

    i agree with steve about the JK flip flop but i would keep it at one JK depending on how accurate you are reading. difference between devices and all

    unknown formula

    Hey everyone. I have a mid-term next week and I was going through my notes and I came across this formula: k= M/√(L_1*L_2 ) I believe it has something to do with transformer coupling. L1 and L2 being the first and second transformer. I know that K is a constant, but i am having trouble...

    class C bias question

    well if its in cutoff then the transistor should act like an open, making VE zero if its in cutoff then VB should also be zero so if I measure VC should it get the entire 12V, or is there a voltage divider between the tank cct and R3?

    class C bias question

    no current/voltage at base There is no base current and the transistor is biased into cutoff. this is why I am so confused. This lab has me calculate the voltages without a Vin. is there a way to do this or should I be speaking with my professor? -Thanks again

    class C bias question

    I was asked to calculate DC voltages VB, VE, and VC. I am a little stuck on this CLASS C design since there is no input voltage for me to work with. I'm just looking for a little guidance as where to begin. I was given no beta values. ive attached the photo below, thank you all for your...
