    Capacitor charging

Timing on the 555 starts with a pulse on 2 which has to be shorter than the output.

    Capacitor charging

Find the circuit resistance and use that to calculate Time. If I remember correctly 1/5T is normally used for most equations because of the nature of the charge curve.

    Garmin GPS overheating problem

Sounds like some form of regulator gone bung or bad solder joints somewhere.

    Sharp R1830 Microwave/Convection oven

Heating elements are made up of a steel tube with manganese dioxide compressed powder as an insulator and the element suspended inside. With continual heat cool cycles the outer sheath developes small cracks into which moisture gets sucked in when cooling. The insulator is highly absorbent and...

Need help Converting a variable Speed 12v drill to corded drill - 3rd wire?

Two wire variable speed switches are available from Ebay for around $5.00. I used one to replace a dud switch in an old 7.2v makita as the original replacement speed switch was over $70.00. Working great for last 12 months.

Where The Heck is the BitVoicer Library

Seems there was a library download but old ( from 2012) and I did not see any direct download from bitsophia. Appears it is used to work in conjunction with the exe file. As hopup says, could be in the other download exe file. There is reference also to Github so you could try there.

Where The Heck is the BitVoicer Library

May not be a library. Reference I found in first few seconds was to bitsophia dot com. Appears as a download executable for 32 or 64 bit versions. So could be some other type of program away from the Arduino system. No idea really as have never worked wit it. Full description there so maybe a...

    Philips dfr-9000 Blowing fuse

Nothing weird, fuses blow due to excessive current, does not require it to be an earthed unit. I'm guessing you replaced the amp fuse with something a "little bigger".

    Triac Problem

If it lasts 18 months - 2 years, I'd just replace what is already there. Couple of dollars for the part and you're away. Chances are a line spike or similar took it out and I doubt any snubber will help there. Commercial installations will be chockers woth all sorts of line spikes and...

More strife than Flash Gordon, simply just a pia. Found out Brother toner was not refusable and different melt temperatures. Passed it on to...
