41 volts in my DVD's AV output jack ground.

:p There are these little gears on the DVD, and if you turn them in the right direction it will slowly lower the drive unit, and eject the disk, so you can save your media.

Deaf Alarm Clock Rubber Button Issues

I was told... don't quote me on this... That you can clean those carbon switches with a soft graphite pencil eraser. Personally, I try not to even touch them. The greasy stuff is probably contact grease, designed to help the buttons make contact. I think the contacts, are supposed to be...

41 volts in my DVD's AV output jack ground.

there were 9 residual voltages in the board after I unplugged it. Probably the power capacitors.... they discharged when I tested after I unplugged it.(I already feel like a mad scientist..)

41 volts in my DVD's AV output jack ground.

I got the disk out, but I am after a full repair. There is no ohmage in the circuit with the power off. Is the resistor test with the power on or off? How about a .005 resistor? 74.5 with resistor. 74.5 without resistor

41 volts in my DVD's AV output jack ground.

Power switch is a momentary, year of 2006, but it still has caps and transistors for brains. What would drive 74 volts into the ground outputs?

41 volts in my DVD's AV output jack ground.

#1, I don't need to bust any caps. or resistors for that matter. So at 73 volts most of my resistors are just gonna disintegrate. whats the point of this test anyway?

Question 2. one day it just didn't work. Question 1. The fuse has continuity, but I have seen fuses that have continuity and are bad. Overall performance? I am an electronics hobbiest, have taken apart lots of stuff, and this unit is not supported by Magnavox, and the local guys can't get...

schematic and wiring diagram for Magnavox MWR10D6

This is a DVD recorder. Sept 2006. Appears to have power, but the power light doesn't light, and it is dead to the user. There are over 73 AC volts from the main power fuse to AV output grounds.

41 volts in my DVD's AV output jack ground.

I want to get my DVD out of the drive, but there is no power. I pulled the MAIN PCB, from the ribbon cables to the drive and AV PCB, to access this. There is no continuity from the fuse to the ground, but when I plug it in, it shows more than 73 volts AC.

Stage Line 500W amp repair project

this thread makes me cry. you should have started at the power line for the left channel and worked your way in until you found the fault. faults are usually ground outs somewhere. opens are where there is a gap in the line. start over cause the amp is still ok, thats why those lights are...

Question regarding ic / microcontroller chips

I've heard that before Mr.BobK. teach said, "ins and outs are arbitrary. Any high impedence opens the box. Low impedence doesn't change anything. " The program in the eprom is the stuff that doesn't change.(I think)
