I have a 5000 watt portable gasoline generator,motor runs fine, but gen. is only putting out about 2500 watts. Could this be brushes or a stator? I am lost! Help!
Are you sure you're reading correctly? (Under the right conditions)
Is the generator under load, or are you trying to read wattage with no load attached?
If you're still wondering, we could use some more information on exactly how you're reading the 2500 watts.
