What current does your load draw?

There are some cheap devices available on eBay, but beware that only a very few allow the input voltage to swing both above and below the output voltage.

current / load is somewhat adaptable, probably 0.3 to 5 adc would be a good search range.

buck-boost converter. But one capable of 5A is not going to be cheap.
