Got this email alert this morning from Azlina but when clicked on it, nothing appears???! Weird. Anyway thanks for replying but again, it doesn't really help in correcting the such sad situation the LED still finds itself in.

HOWEVER!!......
Can the part (whatever it is) be removed, so the all the LEDs come on. Not bother with a RC. In other words, can the RC recieving part be overidden so the lights are on all the time?

Can the part (whatever it is) be removed, so the all the LEDs come on.
Here's the dead giveaway:

  1. Discard the PCB. use only the connector on the cable that normally would plug into the base on the pcb.
  2. Connect R,G and B to GND (0 V).
  3. Connect "+" to the power supply, likely 5 V, or maybe 12 V
Or. if you don't want to fiddle with the connector, simply use the pcb as it is and connect R,G and B to GND. This will bypass the controlling MOSFETs without harm.

You can bypass the remote receiver by powering the LED driver directly. From the photo, the IR module connects to the control chip, disconnect it and bridge the signal line so it stays “on.” Just double-check the traces and voltage with a multimeter before making changes to avoid shorting anything.
