I was on I-5, on my way back to Whittier from almost downtown LA, and
there's the standard traffic slow-up - when I finally got to the problem,
it was some guy with a stalled car with about 18" of the ass of the car
poking out into the traffic lane. It's on a curve, on an upslope, next
to an entrance ramp. There's a nice plaza sort of turn-out, so I pull over
and park, walk up to the guy, say hi, and he and I proceed to push it
up a mild slope onto the turnoff. Some truck stopped for us - everyone'd
been inching around.
When I walked back to my car, I was walking on air. I not only did a Good
Thing for some guy, I did a Good Thing for hundreds, maybe thousands of
people, simultaneously, albeit most of them don't even know it. :-D
Cheers!
