Camcorder Charger Non-functional

Hi all,
I was given a Panasonic PV-950 VHS camcorder about a year or so and I decided that I'd try and get it working again. I ordered a new battery for it less than a year ago since the original battery that came with it is completely dead. When I try to charge it, the charge light just flickers. If I leave the charger by itself without a battery for a while, how long the charge light stays on before it flickers off increases. Is there anything I can do to attempt to repair the charger? If not, can anyone point me in the direction of a new charger I can use? It's a 12V 2Ah SLA battery if that helps. The charger is a Panasonic PV-A24 as well.

Clean the contacts in the charger where the battery terminals meet them.

Clean the contacts in the charger where the battery terminals meet them.

Cleaned them with isopropyl alcohol and it still doesn't work.

Clarification is needed. Are you trying to charge the completely dead battery or the one you bought that is less than a year ago?
Could you take a couple of photos?

Sorry about the clarification, I'm trying to charge the battery that I bought less than a year ago. I attached the photo of the charger and the model number, and the dead battery (the Panasonic branded one) and the one that I bought less than a year ago (the generic branded one with the white warning label). I can take more photos if you want, or I can take an example video of the charge light on the charger flickering off.
