Hi all,

I have a working Dell E190SF computer monitor but the screen is damaged due to the monitor dropped to the ground. When connected the LCD screen split in the middle and the whole screen is complete unusable. (refer image 0887)

However I have a spare working computer monitor from LG Flatron L1942T-PF and I wonder if I can use the power board and video board from Dell E190SF to connect to this working monitor panel from LG Flatron L1942T-PF. (refer image 0836 & 0839)

Thank you in advance for any advice.

If they have the same connectors you can try. The connectors you've shown are for the backlight and they're pretty standard for CCFL backlights.

The other connectors have lots and lots of pins, and there is usually a flexible PCB that is pretty much part of the LCD. The connection from this back to the controller is what you need to check.

The basic answer is "yes, it's possible" -- I've done it. However I was lucky in finding two panels with the same interface (interestingly, from different manufacturers)
