Ceramic Fuse replacement

Hello Senior,
A ceramic fuse(500mA/600V) of my multimeter has blown and I need to replace it.
I asked my dad to buy me an equivalent fuse but I forgot to tell him that its ceramic. He brought a glass fuse which has same rating, can I use it instead of ceramic fuse?

Better not use the glass fuse, use a ceramic one. An explanation can be read here.
