Hi all,

I would like to charge my portable wireless mini speaker, it comes with a usb cable however it did not come with a mains 3 pin plug so I can charge it from the wall socket. I could charge it directly from a PC or laptop, but I wonder, can I use any usb mains 3 pin plug to charge the speaker? The speaker has a 600mAh inbuilt lithium battery.

Thanks everyone!

Yup. USB cable would be a standard 5V source. Most adaptors will provide 500mA, some may provide more... It's hard to say what the speakers pull to charge though... If they stuck to standards your good to go.. if they bent the rules a little, you may need an adaptor that can provide more than 500mA (If you have one for a cell phone, try it out... newer cell chargers are simply mains-to-USB chargers and are usually rated for 1000 to 2000 mA.)
