Circuit protection

I have attached a simple circuit to protect the board/load (24V power). Is it advisable to keep 8A for a branch circuit? What is your recommendation?

It won’t hurt having the extra fuse.
Similar to countries that have a fuse in the plug and the appliance also has internal fuses.

Fuses don't protect circuits. They protect the feed cable(s).

Thanks for your prompt reply.
The load side fuse is only 6A. Should I consider 12A (6A+6A)? My only worry is using fuse 8A should not allow the current to burn something on the load side.

Agreed. Please consider 8A is a CB and 6A are fuses in this case.
