Company employee physicals

Companies have all but switched to the doc-in-a-box occupational
health centers. I had one of the last they gave at our medical
station about five years ago. The nurse was in her sixties and was
scheduled to retire when they phased out the place.

She gave me an eye test and hearing test with machines they were
mothballing. Took my pulse, blood pressure and temperature then had
me wait for the doctor. He was late and the wait was hard to endure.
I wanted to get it over with. So if you are apprehensive about
physicals remember you are not the only one.

She said I could keep my shirt on until the doc came. She had layed
out the exam tools on the table ready for the doc. Stethoscope,
reflex hammer, otoscope, opthalmascope. They looked really
threatening to me.

The doc finally arrived. Asked me to take off my shirt and stand in
front of him. He was thorough and quick. Less than three minutes and
it was all over after waiting for over a half hour.

Ended with the drop your pants, turn your head and cough bit.

Good Luck!
