The pendulum does not work. REDEYE 02 has the same problem. He says he can get the board. I would gladly accept the board if I can get it.
What's the question?
Who's Redeye 02?
A lucky search, Harald. I Googled "CROSA Pendulum", and spotted the thread in the results.Good find, Steve.
I did the same forums search, Dave, and came up with nothing as well, but was interested in what a CROSA pendulum actually was, so Googled it.I searched using the forums search function on both that and the user name before I posted my comment and didn't find anything LOL
google wins again
Thank you SteveHe's referring to a very old thread from 2011:-
https://www.electronicspoint.com/threads/need-help-with-pendulum-clock.242141/
It appears to be a common problem.
@pendulum 02 , can you give us more information? A clear photo of the relevant part of the clock might help, (the separate circuit board with a single AA battery that boosts the pendulum).
Edit: Like many others, redeye 02 didn't come back and report on whether he managed to fix it, and if so how he did it.
Sounds like the coil might have been the culprit. A photo would still help, along with any markings on the components.
I think that you'll be very lucky if you manage to get hold of a new board. You might have to repair the old one if you want to get it working again.Thank you Steve
Redeye 02 in 2011 did have the same problem I have.A CROSA clock made in GERMANY around 1960 with a pendulum that Does not work. The circuit board was made in JAPAN, It is composed of two transistors ,a 47uf capacitor, one coil with two windings, and other resisters.
Redeye 02 said he could get the board but wanted to fix his.I would love to get the board but I don't know how to go about it.

Yes I do have a multimeter, a FLUKE 117.I think that you'll be very lucky if you manage to get hold of a new board. You might have to repair the old one if you want to get it working again.
Do you have a multimeter, and know how to use it effectively? The most likely culprit, as in redeye 02's case, is the coil.
Harald, I am new to the forum and recognize that this thread is old. I have the same problem with my Juliana (identical to Crosa) pendulum clock. What's the question?

any responses will be in the thread for all to benefit![]()
Since this is an old thread, how can I know that the original players are seeing my current message?
Yes I do have a multimeter, a FLUKE 117.
Ive made some checks, and haven't found any problems. But a multimeter is a static meter.
I have a friend who has an oscilloscope and in the 60s his job was to fix circuit boards.
Yes he had a schematic to work with where I have none.
STEVE you mentioned the coil as a possibility ,so did my friend. Unfortunately he does not have the tools to repair it.
My friend also said he had a program on his PC where if you fill in the components it will produce a result.
Im sending the board to him.
