Cutting stick on LED strips

I've got some led strips which consist of tiny SMD led's glued to a sort of tape flexible pcb which is attached to a flexible plastic. The supplier says that it can be cut to any size. Looking at the PCB, i can see loads of small tiny SMD resistors too.

My question is, by cutting it at random place, does it not effect the current draw and voltage etc to power the LED's safely?

Can you give a link to them?.
If each LED is in parallel, then yes you can. But if series strings, then no.

It will affect the current draw - shorter sections, lower current etc - but the cut strips will all operate exactly the same regardless of their cut length.

The strips I know can not be cut at random places but at dedicated locations only. This informative video may help you.
