Dark activated Lamp/LED not flashing 12volt

I have become interested in electronics, and I would like to make an automatic anchor light which will be useful in my other hobby sailing. I have made one using an
op amp 741 but this seems to use too much current. I have seen a 3volt circuit in your projects but I am unsure how to modify the circuit. Thanks in advance newbie Vasco

There are many ways to make a dark-activated light that uses a very low current when there is light. A 741 is one of the oldest opamps and it uses a lot of current.

Our project works well, what needs to be modified?
