DC-DC buck/boost converter

Can anyone explain the purpose of the centre one of the three pots in this converter? The spec seems quite vague about it.

What an understatement. The so called specs are ridiculous. As there is neither a detailed description of the module available nor a schematic, your best option is to ask the seller.

I understand. If the answer is only twice as good as the datasheet, you'll be lucky.

Meanwhile I found an item that seems to be identical here. The center pot is labeled: "full charged turn light current regulation", that's a bit better than "filled indication current regulation" from your source, still not really comprehensible (at least to me ). It could mean

1. setup the current limit below which an attached rechargeable battery is fully charged, assuming that charge current falls once the battery's voltage reaches saturation from charging (for me most liekly)
2. setup the currentg for an indicator LED (for me rather unlikely)

I contacted the Chinese supplier and got the sort of reply I expected, which was - "sorry,i cant understand the problem".

I feel sure your first suggestion will prove to be correct.
