Hi there boyz & girlz (anyone seen a girl here, EVER?)

Do you have any idea how to build a transmitter that will send digital data - actually, digital video or audio - so there could be no losses in picture or sound quality through the transmission system? How could I use sattelite receiver as a receiver?

So, the transmitter itself is to be on high freq., and it's not such a problem, problem is the data. How could I get digital data from the computer, which output port can I use? I'm not familiar with the digital out from the sound card, what's it's protocol - same question is for video....Is it possible to send it through the LAN card? And how to decode it on the other side - on the receiver?

It seems that I'm talking about the digital A/V link, which I saw it is very VERY expensive.... how do they do it? Is it possible to build such thing in "DIY", like all of us here do...?

Brainstorming is open.
