direct connect dvd or cd ROM to TV

have you any idea for connecting dvd or cd ROM to tv without PC?
SATA will be complicated but how about IDE cable ?
have you any interface circuit ?

It's not possible without a processor to decode the information on the DVD and pass it to the TV. The cheapest processor is a PC.
