DIY LCD Monitor controller

Hi, I'm trying to build a circuit that takes HDMI input and outputs to an LCD panel.

Something along the lines of this I assume:

I have the TFP401A chip and the DS90C387A chip from TI.

Not sure how to proceed. Can anyone help???
