DSC 632 - Using both 900Mhz and 433Mhz sensors

I have searched the forums for help on this topic, but I never have
quite seen a full answer. I have a DSC 632 system with several 900Mhz
sensors and a keypad with built in 900Mhz receiver. Since DSC now
switched to 433Mhz is it possible to add a 433Mhz antenna/receiver to
the system to allow use of 900 and 433 based sensors? I would assume
this would be ok since the 433Mhz receiver (DSC PC5132-433 Wireless
Receiver) supports it's own zones. Anyone tried this ? Thanks

This is a real good question, for upgrading the old 900MHz stuff. There is
a module required that allows a second receiver to be used, though you are
still limited to 32 zones.

Actually you may have used the Secure Wireless keyfobs since they now make
all of DSC's keyfobs, and smoke detectors and some door sensors..

You're right, I have used the new keyfobs and smokes, just not their new
receivers.

I've used the Street Smart receiver on the same system as a DSC receiver a
couple of times, no trouble.

That is correct, it was in beta just a few months ago, why it took them 5
years to come out with it is beyond me

So are we sure the Street Smart key fob kit would not interfere with my
DSC keypad with built in 900 MHz receiver? A few people in the
beginning said it would conflict and would not allow two different
wireless receivers to be used on the same system. The problem is not
selecting which key fob to use, but if any on a frequency other than
900 MHz can be used at all on the same system. If I can use a key fob
I will get the DSC kit (PC5102WKK2-433). Thanks for your input.

The DSC receiver connects directly to the panel's databus, much like a
keypad is connected. The Napco receiver connects to various voltage
outputs to sense the system's status and to a "keyswitch" zone to cause
the panel to arm/disarm.
