1.jpg 2.jpg Hi all I’m hoping for some more help with finding what this cable is I know that it’s some kind of ffc 36way 1mm pitch but what’s the silver coating and longer earth. Best place to get a replacement :) thanks again

RS have many types.
The silver coating is more than likely shielding either for heat or RF.

I don’t think there is a real reason for one side being longer other than where the cable bends, it would make sure it terminates the same length at the connector.
Wiring looms use the same principle. Outside wires are longer than inside wires.
I could be wrong of course.
