I was trying to describe this device in a post some time ago. Finally found it again. Interesting strip that changes resistance as you bend it. It was originally designed to make the computer glove devices to simulate hand movements.

Interesting, could it be used to make precision scales to measure very small quantities?

It would be dependent upon the amount of movement (bend), but not the pressure. I do not think it would make a good one.

I know the thread is a year old, but these sensors are also used to measure muzzle pressures in weapons.  Reloaders and manufacturers are the biggest users.
